Saint Mary Lake, at sunrise.

Glacier National Park, Montana, is a spectacular National Park. I personally love the topography so much because it reminds me of home, Yosemite National Park, California. Steep granite cliffs, graceful waterfalls, glacial lakes, grand forests, and remote access. Polebridge is my location of choice to stay while visiting.

Very near Kintla Lake is a vibrantly green wetland that I enjoy visiting, and this time had the delightfully populated by a couple of deer peeking above the tall reeds. Inquisitive as to my presence and activities photographing them, they would periodically and momentarily dedicate an eye to a click of my camera, or a re-position of my body.

Threats to deer and wildlife in Montana are described in this December 2015 article by the Billings Gazette: http://billingsgazette.com/lifestyles/recreation/climate-change-effects-revealed-in-montana/article_9c8ff925-400e-51e4-8fdb-bedcc8210c5c.html. And, of course, the glaciers in Glacier National Park are disappearing and will be completely gone in just a few decades.
